Have you ever seen a Dolphin Stampede?

Check out this video!

 Bonus Question for 3-9-12 Quiz

Why do you think the dolphins are swimming together in such a large group?  Why do you think the dolphins are surfacing in such large numbers?  Tell me your hypothesis.  Leave me a comment and include only your color group and initials.  I can wait to read your hypothesis!  Scientist do not even know why dolphins stampede!  Maybe you will grow up to be an awesome scientist and answer this question!

Things like pollution, oil spills, fish dying out, Tuna fishing (the dolphins eat tuna, and sometimes the dolphin gets caught in the net) things like that. That is what causes them to stampede sometimes, but most of the times there just trying to entertain thereselves. Thanks. EC Red

I, for one think they are moving locations from oil spills, predaters, fish nets, and Tuna shortage. (Yes sometimes dolphins eat Tuna). EC Red Thanks! (Awsome video).

I think that they were probably all eating in a very big pod and something must have scared them. I would definitely be scarred if it was all quiet and my brother came up behind me and scared me!!!!! :D (I wish I could see that) I got to dance and swim with a baby one in Mexico though it was soooooo cool!!!!

i thiink dolphins go on a stampade because, while all the boats are in sea the boat might have been bothering them and they just had enough and they went on a stampede.
the other question i think dolphins are making more dolphins they have alot of dolphins.

@Zw Yellow boy Black Bears don't live here the only sighting of a Black Bear here is at a zoo.

Because they can protect themselves becase there are more of them. It is more obvious if they all go up together also so they can breath
